On March 25, at 3 PM EST, The Mihalik Group will present a webinar on “Credentialing Standards”, presented by Veronica Locke, BS, MHSA, TMG’s member of our NCQA consulting team.  Until recently Ms. Locke was a Senior Manager of Accreditation Policy for the NCQA, her areas of expertise include quality assessment and improvement; credentialing and privileging; delegation; disease management accreditation/certification; population health management; multicultural health care and compliance with accreditation standards, including standards for health plans, managed behavioral health care organizations and credentialing verification organizations.

While NCQA’s Credentialing standards have not changed in many years, the 2020 CR standards are different in a few drastic ways. Between the addition of a new element, and inclusion of the must-pass policy for five elements, it is advantageous to revisit the credentialing requirements.

In this webinar, we will review the critical aspects of an organization’s credentialing policies, including credentialing criteria, verification sources and decision-making.  We will also look at the requirements of the credentialing committee and new expectations of the new security systems activities. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new requirements, review existing requirements and ask questions of faculty.

As reference, most of the material will apply to other programs that involve credentialing— HP, MBHO, CR Accreditation.
